Last night, myself and others in sneaker culture, including DJ Clark Kent spinning nice tunes joined Footlocker execs at Cabanas NYC; a very nice and intimate space, to join them in celebrating KICKSMAS! KICKSMAS is a celebration of our love for sneakers! Sharing our love of new releases, starting this Black Friday and for the next 6 weeks, there will be premium sneaker releases such as the Retro Cement 3's, Total Foamposite Max, Jordan 1 Flight, new snapbacks, and accessories to go with your kicks so you are decked out for the holidays! There was a raffle for the Black Pack also! A guy won all 10 pairs!! WOW!

With the great response from Swizz Beatz Kamikaze sneaker release, Reebok has answered our question about a Kamikaze just for us with the Chi-Kaze! Dropping next month at retailer Journey's for $90, there are 2 colorways that will release. The first being Steel/Flat Grey-Sonic Green, and the other which I happen to like very much is the Black/Pink/Blaze-Yellow. Both pairs feature the Kamikaze Hexalite outsole and reminiscent straps from the women's classic Freestyle. Expect to see more fresh colorways coming after the initial release!!

I wore Miami Nights Lebron 9's, Flower wore Foams, A$ wore denim SB's, Air Karina wore Doernbecher 4's with a matching custom tee, and Pinkeye wore Dominique Dawkins Pony's!!

Jordan X Carmelo Anthony M8 release

Another release event this past Thursday was for Jordan and New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony! The event was held outside, unbelievably at Pier 54 in Manhattan, which is also the pier the infamous and grand Titanic was supposed to dock! FETTi Fact! The new M8 consists of a black leather upper featuring flywire, and 6 Rings Blue patent leather! I like the front air pockets, as well as the shox like air chamber on the heel of the sneaker. This is Melo's 1st pair since coming to the NY Knicks, and from the responses last night at the event, it seems this may just be NY's official sneaker this Fall!

Melo kept us entertained by HOT97's DJ Enuff and Angie Martinez, and had a special performance from NAS!!! Alot of attendees were students from Eagle Academy in both The Bronx; which Swizz Beatz is involved with, and Brooklyn, which Melo is involved. The other highlight moment of the night was when sadly, Angie had to announce that Mr. E's class had to leave in the next 10 minutes! HAHA!! Put on BLAST!!!

Carmelo sported his sneaker with a very sick custom made jacket by an artist Frank Morrison, which had graphic of Melo on the court with the M8 on the tail of the jacket. It was cold but we were all warm with sneaker love between us! Check out MORE PICS!!!

John Wall X Reebok ZigEncore release

Sorry for the delay on this, but the posts to follow will explain why..GRINDING!!! On Wednesday, Washington Wizard's John Wall stopped by Footlocker on 34th St. to unveil and talk about his latest collab with Reebok, for the new ZigEncore which is a nice follow up to the ZigTech Slash. Wall invited kids from the Parks & Recreation Dept. and they all had on a pair of his new sneakers and apparel! HOT97 DJ Funkmaster Flex was on the 1 and 2 and asked John various questions about the shoe.

Available in 2 colorways of black/white or blue/white, these sneakers are lighter and more fashionable than the 1st pair from John Wall last year. The toebox is perforated on both pair; the black ones is nubuck, while the white pair is leather. The rest of the upper consists of leather and breathable mesh with patent leather piping on the black pair. Wall even raffled a few pair and gave up the pair on his feet, all with autographs!!

The epic moment at the event was when a kid got up to ask a question and did the Dougie for Wall, who is known for doing the dance himself; then joining the kid in the dance!! He drove the audience crazy with that! Check out MORE PICS!!!

I AM BACK!!! It's been a while, yes, however I have been busy with orders and events like the one i am blogging about today. This past weekend myself and Pinkeye were invited up to Boston to participate in Mass Art's customizing event for Roxtoberfest at DS4SI (Design Studio 4 Social Intervention) along with other great Boston artists and people from Boston stopping in to see the studio! We were given our choice of either a pair of crispy white canvas Chucks, or the newest vinyl toy, STANCE, a blank sneaker canvas! Most of us chose the Chucks, and the coordinator of the event asked that the pair I customized be done for her granddaughter, which was such an honor!

Pinkeye's rendition of Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin episode just in time for Halloween, and my design for Mass Art's Euka Holmes' granddaughter, Song.

REETHYM OF LITE launch party!

Tonight was the biggest sneaker party ever!!! With Swizz Beatz as Global Director, Reebok can't go wrong!!! The celebration was called "Reethym of Lite" which is truly light, available in the Classic Light or Leather Classic Light. The event took place on 42nd St. at E Space, which is a cool spot. Celebrities from music, fashion, and film all came out to support Swizz Beatz and Reebok's new takeover campaign! In attendance were of course Alicia Keys, Maino, Red Cafe, Jonathan Mannion, Teyana Taylor, Chuck Nice, Jay Z & Beyonce, Pharell, Lloyd Banks, and a host of others who love the Kamikaze sneaker as well as Reebok itself!

Iniside the event were Basquiat t-shirts and Kamikaze's on display, as well as snack servers and a Hennessy bar with my favorite drink of the night..the Black Kamikaze! The event was packed from wall to wall with sneaker & music lovers to support Swizzy & Reebok. Around 10:30 Swizzy took stage and did a few of his hits like Who's Real, On the floor, Coolin, and his new hit International Party, which he premiered the video for too! There were many with Kamikaze's, Pumps, and Classics on, which shows that Reebok is truly a mainstay and has sneakers for just about anyone! Check out the pics below and MORE PICS HERE

Sneaker Savage is the 1st sneaker show in Westchester, NY which has lots of potential to grow in this untapped market! Put together by @mrsneakersavage, it was a day of checking out kicks & apparel from Westchester sneaker lovers and businesses such as 2nd Nature, the only skate shop in Westchester with a full Nike SB account! Being the 1st event of its kind had its downside too..the turnout wasn't as great as expected, but people did show up, which is what mattered! Hosted by ATF (Addicted To Fresh - Mayor, DJ Clark Kent, DJ Greg Street, All Day, & Dave Jeff), the crowd mingled and like a NYC subway kept looking at each other's footwork. I brought "All Doggz Go To Heaven/ R.I.P Nate Dogg" custom Converse to unveil, and the crowd was crazy about them! Even AF1/Bespoke King Mayor who doesn't rock customs had no choice but to give a generous salute for my work on them! Terrell Blair of Hood Life DVD & Book Bandits helped me out a TON by donating his photography skills and taking pics of me with celebs in the building like BX rapper MYSONNE & producer STATIK SELEKTAH. I have a thing about low tops..i dont keep many in the COOLlection..i prefer mids any day, but when I saw these I knew immediately that they would be added as soon as they release!!! The ever classic Nike Air Max 90 gets a futuristic update of Hyperfuse technology on the mesh upper! The Hyperfuse allows for the sneaker to be lighter and the mesh allows for better air flow. Of course the blue pair will be the ones everyone will want to buy, and of course Nike just had to make a pink one for the ladies..sigh..when will they learn! There is of course already a pair of exclusive New Balance sneakers dedicated to this, but this PUMA pack blows them away! A collaborative effort between PUMA, WeAreHQ, & 6 artists (Chase, Tiffany, Ghettro, Murab, Dulepux, & Marco MonteiroHasse) on several pairs of PUMA Suede Mids encompasses all of the elements of both England & the royal wedding. I haven't been posting lately because I haven't seen anything I'd like to pick up, but when I saw these I said to myself, "FINALLY!". Releasing this summer, these AF1's feature a full upper of dark denim with a bronze stitched swoosh; just like the seams in your jeans! There are also a few new features debuting on this pair! First, you'll notice that the NIKE AIR tongue tab has been replaced with a strip of bone leather lasered with NIKE established 1972, and second, the back heel tab is also made of bone leather, lasered with NIKE. I plan on picking these up this summer, but wearing them in the fall.

PUMA Presents: GAME TIME - UNDFTD "Clyde" Lanuch

It was a night of sneakers, Hip Hop, and FUN! PUMA knows how to make their sneaker lovers happy! A 3 hour open bar also helped! The event was brought to us by DIGIWAXX & hosted by Power 105.1's Angela Yee in Midtown at GOOD UNITS. When I arrived they tried to say it was shut down due to overcapacity, but yall already know how I move so I got in after 20 minutes! As soon as you came in there were Clydes on display in glass cases along with the seamless, premium leather white & black UNDFTD pairs. The Clyde is historic from Walt Frazier going hard in the paint with them on, and there was also an autographed pair from the man himself!

Hip Hop was in full effect with DJ's Kid Capri, Scratch, Kenny Dope, and a few others spinning classics, while rappers like Parrish of EPMD, Mysonne, Red Cafe, Mos Def, Beatnuts, Biz Markie, & radio personality Steph Lover. We were also able to take a pic with a huge Clyde sneaker which was a highlight of the night! Overall I had such a great time and look forward to the next PUMA event! Check out more pics HERE

Everyone knows I am a fan of Lebron sneakers..especially the Air Max VII. This Friday will be a very good day for me! Not one, not two, but THREE pairs of the Lebron 8 V2 comes out! All on the same day!!! I had my mind set on the "Entourage" which is the light blue upper w/ black swoosh outlined in yellow named after an HBO series "Entourage" poster. The second pair is for Lebron's AAU team, Summit Lake Hornets, and lastly is the "Yankees" pack. Straight white and navy. I may just end up getting the Summit Lakes as well because I have them for the Lebron VII Post Season Playoffs. These will be dropping at Footaction and other select retailers this weekend.

I showed you the Twisted Hi last week, now here are the Eagle prints! Soon available in either mainly black or white, the eyelets and ankle/heel support are in a premium leather. The Eagle print starts in the toe box and extends for the length of the nylon upper under a clear Puma check. The black pair really pops because of the red stitching on the outsole, which is also red underneath on both pairs. These will probably drop in stores like Nordstrom & the Puma Black store pretty soon! Stay tuned!

I thought I'd put together a colorway that not only signifies the Knicks, but also boldly screams NYC flavor! The upper paneling is a stretchable cotton denim with the perforations and Jordan symbol in orange, while the underlying upper consists of premium white leather on top of a white mesh for ultimate breathing and flexing. The eyelets strip is a sparkling orange vinyl stitched over the upper with bright orange round laces. The blue nylon tongue and cotton lining are easy on the ankle area. There is a blue patent leather heel support on the back of the shoe. Finally the outer outsole is a textured blue, with the inner outsole a textured white on top of an orange, sturdy plastic midsole. In homage to being on the Knicks, there is signage of NEW YORK on the inner outsole going across both heels. This is only the first of many drafts for a new MELO sneaker envisioned. Please feel free to share with other fans of Carmelo Anthony as well as the NY Knicks!

I designed these for DJ NORIE of NYC's radio station Power 105.1 FM as a Christmas gift from one of his friends. When they called me about the design, all they wanted was his logo on the back as you can see. After doing my own research about DJ Norie, I was able to add his phrase "Anything Goes" on the toebox areas, as well as "MAODDDDD!!!!" ("crazy" in caribbean slang). His friend said DJ Norie likes black mainly, but also red, so I was able to create a nice colorway of black/white/red which he can wear with just about anything when he spins at the club or up at the station on Sunday nights from 8-10pm.

These are NICE!!! Hopefully she made them just in time for Christmas because that it what these scream!! Loopwheeler produces high quality fleece used for overalls, shoes, hoodies, and now BESPOKES! I love how Helena kept it simple with an all red upper down to the stitching, and to make it pop, clean white eyelets, laces, and midsole! She did her thing on these! No info on Helena herself but I will try to find this FSFer!

New colorways for Jordan CMFT 11 & 12!

Not being a Jordan nut has been interesting for me since I seem to like the hybrids: Flight 45, Take Flight, and now the CMFT 11 & 12. The CMFT(comfort)11 is a hybrid of the Air Max 1 & Jordan 11 as is the CMFT 12, using the elements of a Jordan 12. I recently bought a pair of the limited release Sole Collector Jordan CMFT 11 carbon fiber and am pleased with them. There were 2 other colorways; white/blue & white/red. Since heads seem to be taking a liking to them, Nike has created 3 new colorways available in Spring 2011. The cool grey/carbon fiber pack resembles the pair I bought except the upper is cool grey instead of black, and the outsole is also grey instead of icy white. The chlorine/anthracite pack is reminiscent of the South Beach Lebron 8 color wise, and has black patent leather mudguards with hot pink lining and a black outsole. The last pair I believe are the ones everyone are gonna go nuts for! The anthracite/volt is OG all the way, and the mudguard is decked in elephant print! NICE!!!

On to the Jordan CMFT 12..Initially I did not like the first 3 colorways that came out and many others must not have as well because Nike came back hard with these 2 new colorways! The first being blacked out with bright turquoise(fresh water-midnight blue)lining and air bubble. The second pair easily resembles the latest Flint with white/french blue and perforations! NICE!! These will be released sometime in January and February.

Swizz Beatz X REEBOK?

Yes! In case you haven't heard yet, Swizzy is bringing new life to Reebok in 2011 with these! On twitter he has shown us 2 colorways. The one that stands out the most has a slate gray nubuck upper, white leather eyelets, dark gray leather panel, and white mesh or gortex. The sole is elevated and chunky in a light neon green, yet compliments the sneaker itself. I like what i see in the pics and can't wait for more hi res pics! What is your take on them?
