THE AIR MAX LEBRON VIII

Ok I jumped on the bandwagon a little late! Initially when I saw the Nike Air Max Lebron VIII I wasn't impressed and kinda upset about the follow up to the VII. I wasn't thrilled about the paneling of flywire and leather/suede. After seeing the Hardwood Classic (HWC) from the Sneaker Pimps Tour in Chicago my Lebron light switched back on! This weekend to celebrate the grand opening of a new HOUSE OF HOOPS in Miami at the Dadeland Mall, the highly anticipated SOUTH BEACH/MIAMI VICE/PRE HEAT edition drops and I MUST HAVE THESE!!! The AMLB VIII features a 360 Air Max cushion bubble all along the outsole which is great for a New Yorker like myself who walks alot. There is in fact less flywire which is only along the rear of the shoe as opposed to the VII which dominated the upper. On the tongue there is the mighty Lebron Lion, or for the CHINA edition, a traditional dragon mask. The rest is either full grain leather or nubuck suede throughout the upper. Dropping tomorrow exclusively at House of Hoops are the "Zips" Akron edition! Had Lebron went to college, his hometown college is the University of Akron, thus paying homage by releasing special editions just for the school. The classic blue/gold/white colorway on the IV is clean and pairs up well with any of your favorite jeans. Where does "Zips" come from you ask? Well the BF Goodrich company was based in Akron & are responsible for the "zip up" galoshes! As for the kangaroo mascot..that was voted in by students! HAHA!! Jordan 1 Limited @ House of Hoops

Available now in limited quantities, these 3 colorways are easily a nice addition to any collection. The red and blue pairs are both similar in being a leather upper with a white collar lining, & debossed back quarter panel. The difference comes in the mid panels where the blue pair has zig zag stitching & the red has triangular stitching.

The AJ1 Alpha designed by no other than Tinker himself has a tan upper with black/orange accents, and clear sole.

BRUCE LEE Zoom Kobe V

Releasing this Saturday at House of Hoops, these Kobe's are designed after Bruce Lee's legendary yellow suit he wore in Enter the Dragon. There are even claw marks along the forefoot resembling when his opponent Han ripped him open! Mainly yellow & black with red & black highlights and a black carbon fiber arch, these are sure to be sold out within the first few hours! What's even more ironic is that Bruce Lee fought famed Laker Kareem Abdul Jabbar in this movie!
